Thanks, Adrienna! I posted this to the events section as well.

Blessings,

Denise

This is an area I'm very hesitant to comment on!  I've had a website for twelve years, even before my first book of the same title came out.  Once I found a publisher and the book was released, I had a separate page dedicated to my upcoming scheduled book signings, poetry workshops, speaking engagements, interviews, and school visits.

A problem arose quite suddenly.  Everywhere I went to any of the appearances, a man lurked along the sidelines.  It didn't matter whether it was in another town, a bookstore or school, whatever the event, the same man stood somewhere in the room within eyesight standing, watching.  I had a stalker.

Be ultra careful, folks ... the venue of your appearances should already be advertised by the school, bookstore, or any other places where you will speak in their town's paper and in the media (TV and radio).  Just be wary of also posting it online.  Stalkers stalk you first online.

Best wishes!

Wow!  Glad to hear you're free of that.  Love your quote, "May you always see the world through the eyes of a child."

Thank you, Denise!  My children's poetry is all written from a child's point of view -- I like to say my inner child wrote the poems, and in all honesty, I think she did!
